Mission City Community Fund

Austen Warburton Community Service Award

The Austen Warburton Community Service Award is presented each year to an individual or organization exemplifying the spirit and character of Mission City Community Fund founder Austen Warburton. An attorney, civic leader, educator, historian, and philanthropist, Warburton's many community contributions are the cornerstone for making our already-outstanding city and even better place to live.

Candidates for this award must meet one or more of the following criteria to be nominated:

  • Significant leadership in an area of public service to the community
  • Significant achievement in fundraising for an organization that is dedicated to enriching the quality of life in the City of Santa Clara in one of the "Five Focus Areas"
  • Significant achievement in building the community by uniting various multicultural components of our society
  • Significant achievement in promoting the democratic ideals embodied in the United States Constitution

The award is presented to each year's recipient during the Annual Charity Auction and Dinner Dance held in November. If you know someone deserving of the award, download the Nomination Form.
