Mission City Community Fund Celebrates Grant Recipients at Appreciation Reception

Santa Clara, Calif. - 6/25/2018 - Mission City Community Fund was delighted to hold its annual Appreciation Reception to honor their recent grantee award recipients. Hosted by The Plaza Suites in Santa Clara, Board member Rita Holiday welcomed the grantees who were invited to network with each other over refreshments. Chairperson Debi Davis shared a brief presentation about the mission of MCCF and upcoming Annual Charity Dinner Dance to be held on November 3, 2018, at the Santa Clara Convention Center.

Mayor Lisa Gillmor joined fellow MCCF Board of Directors to acknowledge the tremendous work provided by the grantees, thanked the recipients for their positive impact and listened for the upcoming needs grantees saw in their near future. Grantees were invited to share information about their funded programs and progress with guests. "This is a chance to honor the work of local nonprofits in Silicon Valley," said Debi Davis, chairperson of the Mission City Community Fund. "We are particularly excited about the range and quality of funded programs and services this year. Each project was chosen because of its substantial public benefit for enriching the lives of local residents."

Mission City Community Fund has raised over $3 million for charity over our 32-year history. MCCF has awarded more than 650 grants to deserving nonprofits in Silicon Valley including first-time recipients: Hip Hop for Change, Good Karma Bikes, and the African American Community Service Agency.

The Mission City Community Foundation awards grants each spring and fall through a competitive application and review process and will seek applications again this summer. Information and forms are available online at www.missioncityfund.org. Applications are due by July 31st.
