Mission City Community Fund announces “Masquerade” Charity Event for Nov. 2nd

A memorable evening at the Santa Clara Convention Center to raise funds for local nonprofits.

Santa Clara, Calif. – 8/27/2019 – Please join Mission City Community Fund on November 2nd, 2019 for the Charity Auction Dinner Dance, Masquerade, at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for a memorable evening of music, live and silent auctions, awards and delicious dinner, making it MCCF’s most memorable event each year. Funds will be raised through ticket sales, sponsorship, and auction items to establish grants for local nonprofits.

This is a marvelous opportunity to acquire great items, trips and unique experiences…all for charity! In 2018, sponsors and winning bidders helped raise over $165,000 for programs in Five Areas of Giving: Theater and The Arts, Education, Social Services, Health Care, and the Environment. Auctioneer Dee Dee Kiesow from BenEvent Auctions & Consulting, will lead the Live Auction with exclusive packages.

Mission City Community Fund has raised over $3 million for charity with more than 700 grants to deserving nonprofits including first-time recipients: Recovery Café San Jose, International Rescue Committee, and Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley. “An increasing number of people in our community need help and MCCF is uniquely positioned to provide financial support to organizations doing incredible work to meet those needs,” commented Anne Kepner, MCCF Chair. “Our generous sponsors, donors, and dedicated volunteers are all contributing to make this year’s charity dinner dance the most successful yet. Together we will make an even greater difference in the lives of many in Silicon Valley who need help.”

The evening’s Master of Ceremonies is Emmy award-winning journalist, Robert Handa. Named the 2015 Reporter of The Year by the Associated Press and in addition to reporting for NBC Bay Area News, hosts a weekly talk show, Asian Pacific America with Robert Handa, covering Asian newsmakers, events and youth perspectives. Robert is an active member of many Bay Area organizations, including AAJA, KIMOCHI, Yu Ai Kai Japanese American Community Senior Service and Asian American’s for Community involvement (AACI).
